Production process of p-nitrobenzoic acid:
It is obtained by the oxidation of p-nitrotoluene. The oxidizing agent can be sodium dichromate, air, manganese ore powder, nitric acid, etc. P-nitrobenzoic acid was synthesized from p-nitrotoluene by oxidation with sodium dichromate in the presence of sulfuric acid at 55℃. The reaction liquid is filtered, dehydrated and dried to obtain the finished product. In addition, 1-p-nitrophenyl-2-amino-1, 3-propanediol, the right-hand compound in the production of chloramphenicol, is easily oxidized with nitric acid to obtain p-nitrobenzoic acid.
